-Refined Ruggedness-

This style is great for guys who want a lived-in, messy look on top but still clean and tapered around the edges. It's perfect for the low maintenance man who wants to throw a little product in his hair and then run out the door. To create this look, you should have around 2-3 inches of length on top so you can get some nice volume and movement. Ask your stylist to use a razor to create a texturized, piecy look. They can create a clean taper while leaving a little extra length around the edges. With longer length on top, you will have the option to wear your hair forward and messy, back and up, or over to the side. The idea is to have an "I just rolled out of bed" type look. Don't put too much effort into it. For more advanced styling you can use a blowdryer and a brush to create volume and then finish your look with a dry paste or cream to enhance the texture. 

-Straight Back-

Styling your hair straight back is a popular new trend this year! You can use a pomade or gel to slick your hair back and create a smooth, polished look. Another option is to use a matte paste to enhance movement and texture. This look works with almost any length of hair. The longer the hair is on top and the less layered, the leaner it will lay and the better it will stay back. To style, use your fingers for a relaxed look or a comb for a polished look. 

-Soft Part-

This is a great look for guys who want to wear their hair to the side but don't want a defined part. This style is clean and professional but also relaxed. To create the "Ryan Gosling" version of this style, make sure your stylist doesn't take the sides and back too short. The top should only be 1/2 - 3/4 inch longer than the sides and back. To style, use a cream with a natural shine to add movement and texture while still looking polished. 

-Textured and Short-

The buzz is back! With a nice tight taper on the sides and back and about 1 inch of hair on top, this look is masculine, low maintenance, and great for summer! This style works well on most hair types. The texture and layering can lighten up thick hair or bulk up fine hair. Ask your stylist to add a little extra texture on top for more of a trendy look. Another version of this style is the buzz cut. One length of hair all around the head. Right now we are seeing celebrities like Zayn Malik rock this style! You may want to get your hair cut a little more often to keep your fade looking clean and sharp!
